Arai Corsair X vs Quantum X

OK, I need/want a new lid. I tried on a few Aria helmets yesterday and Quantum was a great fit with the Corsa a very close second. I couldn't feel the difference but the salesman said he could see a bit more space around the cheek pads with the Corsa.

Current helmet is a Simpson Bandit. Took a bit to break it in but now fits fine. It lacks in the venting area. 2 closable vents up top and 2 chin vents that cannot be closed. I want more air control. Salesman said the Corsa would vent more but be louder because of it. Well, this Simpson is LOUD now so I'm sure either would be adequate.

What say you? Is the $150 or so difference in price worth it?

I like the Corsa a lot but it is definitely an Ear Plug helmet. But the venting is peerless.

I have a corsair V I think it is and it move A LOT of air, which is great on hot days. It is loud however. I also have a Simpson bandit but haven’t rode it yet. I’ve had 100 dollar helmets and 600 dollar helmets and although the difference may not be worth a few hundred dollars, to some but I can certainly tell the difference. This is not to say cheaper helmets are bad.

So if it fits you and you like the feel and features go for it. I’ll try and go for a ride with the bandit I have and let you know how noisy it is by comparison.

Thanks. The Bandit is the only full face I have ever owned so I have nothing to compare it to

Which bandit do you have? Street or outlaw? I think I have street. I’ll try to go for a putt on Monday on my day off. I can already tell just looking at it that the front mouth vent alone will move way more air as that’s how my corsairV is. Then opening up the top vents only increases airflow more. I’m looking to get the Nicky Hayden replica corsair X myself as I love the livery.

Street Bandit. It served well on my Harley because the big fairing blocked most of the wind so I didn't notice how loud it was. I also had a comm system in it so the music masked the bike and road noise too.
