That seems too simple....!
It is simple to read and write.
The first main thing is to have the correct cable.
This has the FTDI 232 chip in it.
The most common problem is people buying cables that claim to work and they often do not.
These usually contain a different chip and requires frigging around.
The second main thing is to read the instructions that come with the cable.
Namely - follow the instructions before plugging the cable/adapter into your computer.
Not sure about Win 10, but with earlier versions it was important to download the drivers rather than let Win "select" a driver.
If you are using a Mac and of course the OSX versions of Reader and Writer Apps, El Capitan and onwards is plug and play without having to frig with drivers etc.
Tunerpro is Win only, so I am running both XP and Win 10 via Virtualbox in my Mac.
This way I can modify bin files in Tunerpro then write from Win or OSX.
