Those pistons are Gio.Ca.Moto/ Ducati Performance made by Gilardoni. Good pistons but I suspect the rings may be hard to come by.

Ditched the coffin style m/cyl. and replaced with Brembo gold.

Clutch m/cyl. next week.

thought about pulling the motor out of the monster so i could start putting the 400ss back together. but then i decided to get the 851 out and start the "getting it back on the road" process.

Got the CR race bodywork mounted and wrapped the pipes with that "titanium" cloth.

Getting it ready after a long period of neglect and realizing I have some work to do. Tires, tach drive cable, clutch master a mess, slave a leaky mess. That's the list so far. Hitting the track in a couple of weeks for the first time in 14 years

(not, that's not how long the bike's been hibernating)

I didn't just do it today, but over the course of a year or two I transformed my 2000 framed 900ss into a cafe racer. 2007 S2R1000 swingarm, 1970's era Honda CBX fuel tank and a whole lot of fabricated parts.
