Have just completed fitting GSXR cartridge assemblies. From related threads, it appears to be a worthwhile conversion, but I'm unlikely to test them out till the spring.
Pretty easy straightforward swap - only work was to adjust spacers to get the right preload on the single rate springs I had previously fitted to the standard forks. Doesn't fork oil get everywhere!

Are you sure you need a new screen? AFAIK, the SL screen is exactly the same as the SS. Just went and checked - eyeball ruler says my gauges (the oil temp is the closest) clear the screen by 5-6mm.

Mods are: K&N filter, airbox lid on with rubber trumpets removed, MBP collets, full SMI (SilMoto Italia) spaghetti exhaust with 'open' carbon cans, 41mm FCR's - #182 mains!, Barnett alloy clutch basket, Oberon slave cylinder, Ohlins fork springs, Ohlins rear shock, Verlicchi swingarm.

Yeah Steve, I do as my current (original) set up doesn't include oil temp (it's a '93). And I would like a medium tinted screen

Cheers.

I've heard the early screen doesn't have the room for an oil temp gauge as well. I do have a tinted later model screen if your interested. I'd have to look at it and see if there is any damage. I bought it with fairings and a tank off a guy who was doing something "custom". The part is in Sydney.

Seems like a good enough reason for a new screen then...

I checked - it appears that my '95 was the first model to have the temperature gauge fitted, so I guess anything post '95 should be OK? Dave's offer could be worth grabbing.

Not completely done. I still have to put on an AL swingarm, finish the side blinkers, and put on the new (gray) wheels.

Try here Custom made motorcycle screens for DUCATI | Eagle Screens Australia

Options for years and even temp gauge.

I have had mine from them for over 10 years and still happy. Nice tint to it as well - hides the crap behind the gauges.

Richard Collins - 2001 900SSie I have a 2 strike policy - 2 no responses from a poster = no more responses from me to any post by them. I have a good memory!
