Stoshmonster - how did you get the tank? I just looked up the Beater site ( MOTO-WORKS.JP | Beater ) and it says they won't be supplying tank from July 2013 because of new shipping regulations. That was 2 years ago, yet you got a tank now after a 6 month wait?

I ordered that Beater fuel tank from Webike in Japan JAFA. The tanks are made to order and can usually take anywhere from 3 to 6 months for delivery. Here's the link my friend.

Track day this weekend, new Q3's, renewed clutch and brake fluid. Made some templates for the adhesive vinyl to stick over the lights, it looks like I am going to have to ride the bike to the track, not my preferred arrangement, but it is what it is. New oil two weeks ago, new high voltage coils from CA cycleworks and plugs before the weekend. Thinking about upping the rear preload a bit more as well, put a few canyon miles on the tires first.

It's so nice to not have to mess abound with that airbox anymore, curious to find out how long the 3d printed VS will last...

Wink Recent work

New clutch bling, barnett clutch plates, springs, basket, pressure plate... EBC brake rotors replaced OEMs and stainless bolts, valve adjustment and an oil change.

California Superbike School

Not today but we attended CSS level 1+2 recently at Achna Speedway. The instructors came from Greece and England, needless to say we had a ball even though it was uncomfortable in the sun, 90F. The SS was a big attraction over the weekend, so many other riders complementing its beauty, sound and torque coming out of the corners. Rizoma bar grips fitted, new CPS fitted which seems to have solved a problem i had a few months ago. New chain and Supersprox sprocket set on order.
Life is good, ride safe.

Filter adapter is my own creation/experiment.
Designed it in a free trial version of SketchUp, and had it 3d printed.
If I still had access to lathes and mills I'd try to make a four-piece aluminum version (2 x velocity stacks, and the filter adapter split so that it could clamp around the velocity stacks). I really like how it fits and performs, just not sure about longevity.

I scored a hard-copy used Ducati shop manual on eBay for my '03 SS.

I bought a used set of Suzuki GSXR 750 K2 Forks to transplant the internals into my 92 SS.
