Ciao Tixx

I spent more than an hour at work reading all the things you've done to the SS (I would read more but my manager kept walking around me ).

I'm not fluent in italian, but I can understand enough...

Boy oh boy!! Thinking the amount of work done on this bike, gives me thoughts of robing a HUGE bank (just kidding!!) so I can make one myself ...

About the ignition coils and cables, do you know if there are available for the 1000ds engine?? If there are, I would like to know how much they could cost... I want them on my SS too

And by the way, I'm planing to drive down to Greece this summer (I "live" in UK). If you could tell me where you guys are in Italy, I might pop in to have a "look"

A presto!

Hi Engakats,
I spent a bit more than one year rebuilding the yellow SS, because working and upgrading bikes isn't my main occupation but just an hobby.
Regarding ignition coil and cables you can ask the Nology UK Distributor:

IPC - INTERNATIONAL PERFORMANCE CENTER
The Old Bakery, Maidstone Road
Tonbridge, Kent
TN12 9AB
Phone: [44] 8702-412 382
Fax: [44] 1622-833 133
e-mail: [email protected]

Honestly I don't know if Nology produces a kit for the 1000DS because the original coils have a double exit at their ends. In my opinion you can ask Ducati if the 1000DS ignition controller can supply twice coils. Could be an option.

We are located in Verona and if you ever plan to be around our club house during your trip to Greece, fell free to call me and stop, your visit will be more than welcome.
Usually the the first week of every month we plan a party, I can assure you will have fun, and on May we will plan our MotoItaliche Birthday Party.
My cell ph is +39 348 319 84 90 and my personal e-mail address is [email protected] .

Have a great day.

Sorry for the camera phone picture but it's the first shot of the bike I've taken that's not in the garage. Went out to Ocotillo Wells this weekend. The sign says, "This is the desert. There's nothing here."

I saved this Duc from an untimely death and have been working hard to get it back to its former glory. This is probably the last time it'll look quite like this.

Believe you me - there wasn't much left in the bag but I wasn't gonna let a Gixxer get past me

I will be racing at Brands Hatch, Pembrey and Thruxton at some point so, I'll remember to let you know when exactly. OK?

2 cylinders are all you need but 3 is a nice compromise

Hey,

Nice ride! Where did you get the luggage rack/backrest from? I have been trying to find that set up for my 97 CR.

Thanks for any info.

My 97 SS CR on Daytona beach. It took a year to get all of the salt and sand off.
