Channeling my inner Bayliss

After years in the corner of the garage, I dusted her off and took her out. I really enjoy this bike, and will be seeing a lot more of her in the future!

Very nice! My current bike motivation is to swap out my 1199R for a 998. Quite jealous that was in the corner of your garage.

And how did she run after "years in the corner"? As good as you remember?

Thanks!

It was a craigslist mutt for $3k a few years ago: yellow biposto, rashed on both sides.

I had a 748 with lots of trick bits (Mg wheels, carbon stuff, ohlins, slipper clutch) that transferred over. Add a set of $400 Chinese bodywork (and supplemental decal kit to replicate the early '02 Bayliss racebike livery), and this is the result.

She also took a trip to Desmoto (one of the better bay area shops) to go through belts, valves, fluids, and filters, so she's running awesome. I've got four pad calipers and RCS master cylinders sitting on a shelf waiting for a rainy weekend, and there's definitely a need for new tires.

During the interim, my Tuono and Caponord have been taking up the slack.
