So I am about ot pull the trigger on a Pit Bull stand, and was curious if the second pin which allows the stand to mount onto the right side of the rear axle is all together necessary? I cannot really think off the top of my head, a single situation where I would actually need or use the second pin. So, is it worth it, or should I just go with the right side entry, only?

If you are planning to service the chain it's nice to have the stand on the other side and out of the way. Really any work on the left side of the bike it is nice to have the stand on the other side.

I've never needed the right side pin/stand. In the event I needed to remove the swingarm, I put jackstands under the rearsets. (Need non-folding pegs for that though.)
