996 and bathroom scales

The weather outside was shitty this morning so I decided to try and weigh my 2000 996 on the bathroom scales.
I set the bike up on front and rear pitbull stands and carefully lowered the rear onto the scale and took a reading then did the same with the front.

Rear reading was 155lb
Front reading was 185 lb
total combined weight 340lb.
Before the flaming begins I want to point out that this bike has been on a serious diet for the 19 years that I have owned it.

BST carbon rims with Braketech rotors and Dunlop KR Slicks
Brembo billet monbloc calipers
Ohlins FG forks. Lower triple was machined to accommodate 54mm fork diameter
ETI Kevlar fuel cell with 1/2 gallon gas
Shorai battery
Nichols aluminum flywheel
EVR aluminum slipper clutch
Sebimoto carbon bodywork and intake runners
carbon front fender and chain guard
Motoholders fairing stay without headlights
MWR foam air filter
Motowheels rear sets with GP shift pattern
Afam quick change sprocket carrier, 39 tooth sprocket
Stock Termignoni mufflers have been cored and repacked with perf tube and fiberglass

I took the body work to be painted today so that might add a pound or two.

Waiting for the mail man to deliver a DP carbon air box that I bought from my buddy Paul in Toronto.

Engine is stock, cases never been apart but I have replaced 4 flaking closing rockers.

I love this bike, even more than my 959Corse

Wow! Thatís light. Usually the bathroom scale method is pretty close as long as it isnít leaning a bit, as in holding the bike up. That will give a false light reading.

I would question your front/rear distribution. Itís pretty rare to see a Ducati with that much front bias.

Correction
I was suspicious of the rear reading even though I did it 3 times.
So I went back and had the wife center the scale on the rear axel
Upon further review I am revising the rear weight up to 189.
Front remains 185

Combined weight is 374lb.
I don't know what else I can do without breaking the bank on magnesium engine covers and swing arm
replacing steel for titanium etc.
I think I have done enough.
Now I am waiting for the 1st track day of the season

I wonder how much different the reading would be with 2 bathroom scales. Or one suitably large scale.

personally I could probably lose 10 lbs but medication is causing me to pack on a bit of flab

That sounds a little more realistic. But still light as HELL!

Iíd love to see some pictures of all that CF stuff.

I knew the 340 pounds wasnít correct as mine weighs 367 pounds with mag wheels, mag swingarm and carbon tank. I also have a much lighter engine (1198)
