Belly pan

Hey guys quick question. I wanted to know if it is possible to mount the
996R/998R belly pan on stock 748 fairings? I have tried to search and
have come up empty. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Depends on which belly pan you got. The Ducati corse pan might fit on the stock fairings. Even if it didn't, its so close, you might just have to make some small adjustments and obviously mount the brackets necessary for it to fit.

The aftermarket belly pans, are designed to work with the aftermarket fairings only, so they won't fit on the standard fairings. Most aftermarket fairings are 3 piece (nose/sides, belly pan, tail) where the Ducati corse ones are 5 piece (nose, right, left, belly pan, tail)

Obviously, there is a pro to using the corse fairing because its split up into more sections which makes it easier to replace only one section after crashing. With that being said, the aftermarket fairings are cheaper in the long run and also hold up better then the corse ones. So there is a trade-off and I highly suggest replacing all the fairings, instead of just adding onto the stock.

You can cut the OEM side fairings--but it is much easier to buy the shorter sides or buy it as a kit.

Looking at one on Ebay?
If so then this one will only fit the 996R and 998R.

If your good with small modifcations, you can make it work with your stock bodywork.

Thanks for the help guys. And yes I was looking at the one on eBay.
And I do pretty well with cutting and small tools. So I would not mind
cutting and drilling my body work. Plus if I ruin it, it gives me a reason to buy
all carbon fiber body.
Thanks again

That's exactly what I want to do to my 748S. I love that pic of you on that bike and that CF belly pan. It's the sole reason I searched for and found this thread on belly pans.

Where did you get the pan? It fits over the stock fairings or you needed to cut them down?

Thanks
