DES Compression Error

I've seen plenty of posts about DES Pre-Load errors, but I can't find much about my error.

Heres the details:
2010 Multistrada 1200s ~10k miles
Last fall I would randomly have the "DES Rear Pre-Load Error"
Starting this spring, I get the "DES Rear Compression Error" sometimes
I sometimes get the error on power on in Touring Mode
I sometimes get the error while riding in Touring Mode
I sometimes get no error at all in Touring Mode
I have never gotten the error in Sport Mode.

When I say "sometimes" I mean that I really can't find a hard and fast correlation between doing something and the error firing.

Any ideas?

Loose connector. I had the same symptoms for my front fork. Diagnosis is loose connector. Reseating it made the errors go away

Just check for spec voltage? I put a new one in last fall.

I’ll give that a go. I removed and replaced the controller but didn’t try the other connections.
