Cheap and functional Handlebar Bag

Hi all! I mentioned this in the "What did you do to your Strada today?", and was asked for more details, so figured it might be useful here.
Pics below.

The cost of the Ducati bag (and most others) was stupid. So I went looking through stuff I already had.
MOLLE-compatible admin pouches seemed a good choice, for about $11. Doesn't block the display when on the bike.

Just ziptied to the bars. The front zipper holds earplugs, smokes, lighter. The main compartment holds flat hairbrush, cable lock for helmet, skullcap, coiled microUSB cable if I need to charge the Sena while riding.
It's also where my wallet with garage access card and ID goes when commuting.

Here's the pouch:

There are bigger ones if needed.

So, it sits on top the ignition switch?
I have used a waist / fanny pack as a rear seat pack in the past.

It does not. It partially covers the manual switch, but the bag and the weight of the contents are held by the zipties to handlebars.

That's very cool, I have been considering just such a solution. And you say it does not block the view of the dash, nice.

Nope. The one pic centered on the bike is from the rider's seat. And I'm short.

You betcha!

This board helped me with lots of info when I was considering a Multistrada or a Diavel. Glad I could make some small contribution.
