I could use the ST4 money on an aluminum tank for the SF.

The M50 (OEM on my Monster) grabs more initially than the M4 (OEM on my Panigale). Ones are not necessarily better. They're just different. The M4 are just as awesome yet more progressive. I suppose if you push them both to the limit, the M50 would outperform but I've pushed the M4 at the track with no fade whatsoever.

don't bother with calipers. if you really feel a need to throw money at the brakes, go with brake tech ductile iron rotors and matching pads. original brakes are perfectly fine for the street and work good enough on the track too. keep the '13.

I had a 12' PP. It started mixing coolant into the cylinders which took the dealer 4 months to diagnose.
They finally figured out that the heads were porous. A design flaw. They ordered new ones and I got the bike back no charge. Even though it was out of warrantee the dealer really stepped up and helped me out. Thank you Vancouver Highroad.

I had a trip planned midway through the downtime so I bought a new 17' PP. Didn't want to miss out - I hate not making the cut. The 17' PP has more creature comforts (heated grips & cruise) and better tech. It feels different than the 12' in subtle but still noticeable ways. The 12' has better throttle response, feels a little more agile and is easier to haul down from speed. The 17' is more planted in corners and at high speed and the stock seat is more comfy than the 12'. The 12' feels more analog and is more fun on a spirited ride than the 17'. I prefer riding the 12.' I did one track day on the 12' when I got it back from the dealer. It ran great and took a lot of liter bikes by surprise. I wish I still had it. I sold it to a buddy coming off of a Wee-Strom 650. He loves it and I get to ride it occasionally.

Not sure if I would by the 17' again but it is a great touring rig.

Your Panigale had M4.32 calipers OEM not the M4's. 32mm pistons vs 34mm. pistons M50's have 30mm pistons BTW

I have a 2013 MTS GT and I am loving these comments. I've bumped a tooth up on the rear and have the Full Term w/ Upmap. Very satisfied with the bike, except the fuel sender. That thing sucks.

I sold my ST4 in order to get my MTS. It was a space and wife thing more so than financial. I got peanuts for that bike and it was truly a brilliant machine.

I've lost count of the number of bikes I've sold over the years and it makes me sick the amount of money some of these machines get on the used market. I'd be money ahead if I had just kept them all.

I wouldn't worry. This whole asset bubble will blow real soon. Patience is a bitter plant that produces sweet fruits.

Just do it.

I just bought a 2018 1260S and have about 5k miles on it. I have over 160,000 miles on a 2011, 2012, and two 2014 PP's. This new bike is fucking amazing. I am constantly stunned at how the multi has evolved in just the 4 years between the '14's and the '18. I could go on and on about the differences, but if you can go test ride one and go WFO from about 7k rpm's and row through the gears with DQS...I think that will tell you more than 10,000 words ever could. And the smoothness, and the electronics.....and on and on, but you get the idea.
