If I had this info, I may have given it a try. Hoping there won't be a next time!

Shouldn't ever be a problem. I've had plenty of metal plate logo's like that and they usually never falter.

Next I needed filler for the gaps in the end cap.

At this point I dry fitted, then pulled the cap off a bit to apply high temp sealant.

Inlet side complete

Repeat for the outlet cap

11 of 12 rivets in perfectly, then the gun craps out.

I had to slightly bend this back and forth to break it off and it didn't look good at all, so i drilled it out and will put a fresh rivet in when I gain access to a decent gun.

So, almost done. I'll apply the new decal after I put the can back on the bike.

Last rivet popped and decal applied! Now I can finally try these Road 5's out!

The repacked can does sound better IMO. Hard to describe the tone/dB change. It's subtle but I can tell. Less boomy.

So after a few months, that fresh decal deteriorated quickly. I'm pretty bummed out about it, but I just found a solution. On the Brocks website, I ordered a 100mmx100mm metal rivet on badge to replace the decal.

I just repacked my LV Ti can after 75,000 miles and it was a PIA! My bike was getting loud, even with the dB killer in it, so.... I had to buy a big rivet gun so I could use SS rivets. I haven't started her up as my wheels are off to put new donuts on....Pirelli Angel GT II's.

Aluminum plate logo arrived. Now I just need to find the time to install it.
