Sales Price - New

Can you Ducati/Multistrada users tell me if the Ducati dealers are used to make an attention to the costumer on the price?
I can not understand it, in all my new motorcycles, dealer made me always i nice attention! +/- 20%! In Portugal are two official sales dealers. In Lisbon, i'm waiting for more than a week for a contact to tell me the price that they make to an New on Multistrada S Red and in Porto +/- 600€ of discount! On a 20000€ motorcycle it is ridiculous and greedy by Ducati dealers!
But if i go to Ducati.es, make frontier with Portugal, they are already making an offer of a Touring pack, great for them.
And here in Portugal, the ducati forum, the users say that is normal don't make an attention to the client, as Ducati is an exclusive brand, costumers don't get an discount!! Do you agree to?

Certainly in the UK trying to get a discount on a new Ducati is a little like squeezing blood from a stone.

But you might get a deal on extras, service package etc.

got a decent discount on mine last year... you can dig up the thread if you look where I go over the complete numbers. Maybe we get better discounts in the US (not sure why that should be true)

If you compare us to uk prices and exchange rates then there's a massive difference we have to pay 20% tax on top so if you wanted a 1200 s. It would cost around $ 23 to $ 24 depending on extras in the uk.

Mentalities,
because if there were no costumer attention, there could be no future for them.

Depends on the demand for the particular model, I got discount on the package extra's on my Multistrada, but because I ordered it, I paid the sticker price. I would never pay over the sticker price on any vehicle.

On my Panigale, my primary choice was the Aprilia RSV4R RF. I figured I'd make the Ducati dealer an offer for the Panigale and if they didn't take that, I'd go buy the Aprilia as it was about $3K less.

The dealer knew my position and accepted my offer.
