Well, back to stock (from 14/42), bike is now much less likely to get me a ticket (leaning forward in 2nd at WOT now keeps the front wheel planted at DWC 2).
Will be interested to see if my fuel economy recovers.
Also back to 530 chain - 525 is definitely lighter but cost me a LOT of durability (at 14/42 the DID ZVMX chain lasted around 10,000 miles - and it was definitely toast, making that crackling noise and with enough stretch that with the loosest section set correctly it binds badly at the tightest section).
Also not going to keep the 525 sprockets... there was enough visible wear that if I want to have a shenanigans gearing setup I'll just buy another full set and spare masterlinks.
