Turn signals

I've red somewhere that the turn signals are supposed to automatically cancel after 1/4 mile or something. But they don't on my bike.
Does anybody know of particular settings that need to be activated for this function to work?

You have to be riding below 50 mph for .3miles.

I just cancel them myself ,when I use them, then you know for sure...
BAD things Happen to Bikes when cars think you are turning...

I'm surprised Ducati didn't put a chime to go along with the little arrows indicating the turn signals are working,

Really safest thing to do is cancel them yourself so it becomes second nature...

Bad decisions make for good stories
Take my Advice, I don't use it.

yes but this button is really not convenient. With gloves it's hard to feel if you moved it, or pressed it...

+ 1 on the cancel it manually - or you will be killed.

Think about this from the point of view of a car following you. Are you just going to ride for 1/2 a km indication a move that you are not going to make. A car is sure to knock you down like a black dog.

I am not sure if my indicators self cancel but then I will never find out either.

Garage
They do cancel, but it takes 500m. Unless over 80kmh then they don't cancel.
