ST4 - Starter Sprag - Issues removing

Hey all,

I am in the process of changing out the starter sprag on my 2001 ST4. I can not get these 2 pieces separated no matter what I try. I think they are seized.... I have tried what others have suggested on this forum but nothing is making it budge. I can't even get it to move a few degrees. Any help would be great...

How the hell do I separate these 2 pieces?

put 2 or 3 long screws in from the other side, and tap them to push the insert out. heating the flywheel will help. it's not a sliding fit.

BTW. I also discovered a broken shim (the one at the end). I couldn't find it online ended up having to order it from ducati dealer for $30 and 7 days from italy. For a shim! The perks of riding a Duc.
