ST Mirror Parts

2007 ST3s:
Metal base on left mirror cracked and mirror fell off when putting a cover on the bike. I suspect it had a hairline crack before. Anyway, mirror is fine I just need the metal base that goes inside the base of the mirror. Does anyone know if this part is available separately or, where I can purchase one?
Thanks for any help!

Parts diagram only shows the whole stalk and the only other part is the rubber gasket.

IIRC, Mike Shannon made some base blocks though along with his famous mirror springs. And possibly still has an ebay store?

Maybe someone else can chime in on that?

Mike's blocks were designed to fit between the mirror and the fairing. Not to replace the integrated block. Best bet is to find an ebay mirror off a wrecked ST. The metal part should still be OK.

Found one on ebay.
Thanks for the input.

Thanks for that information!
In the past I ordered a set of mirror springs and IIRC there were here in a week.

looks really nice! am intregued.

Bet you can make many people very happy with those.. including your wallet ofcourse

one advice though.. instead of copying the ducati design maybe sturdy it up at the weak spots. there is plenty of negative space that can be "filled" in for that.

i recently repaired mine with filling it in with epoxy. seemed to have done the trick.

about the casting. this should be no problem at all.

hi yes
i had a look at that as well will make them sturdy and less lighter than the ducati type i have two ways to go cnc machine center with the cad drawing or alum casting and fill in that space on them will post when i have say 6no / 12no sets as this would keep the cost down a longer production run would be great but lets try 6no / 12no set first

Hi Mike
Have you progressed with making mirror brackets? I'm interested.
Thanks
