Riding through Hungary and Romania?

A move from Holland to Bucharest, Romania is in the works for my family and I. We have a car, and my beloved Monster that we wish to bring over there, and driving them there, both at the same time may make for a nice family holiday.

Has anyone ridden in/around Hungary and/or Romania? and can anyone comment on the feasibility? Is it relatively safe? Are there filling stations every 120km or so? Any advice?

i live in Romania and the last thing you have to worry are the gas stations. You'll have to worry about the roads in generally. You'll have to ride slowly and with your eyes wide open because there is no highway only one side roads with a lot of trucks passing by....
