Skully helmets for the Aussies and Kiwi's

Got this in an email form skully helmets.
Quote:

Greetings to Australia from the Yanks! You've demanded it, and we're listening. With
over 30 pre-orders from Australia and New Zealand locked in, we've decided to extend
a bit of good will from across the pond. If 100 Australians and New Zealanders
pre-order SKULLY AR-1, we will submit AR-1 for AU1698 certification. This is in
addition to our existing DOT and ECE certifications. Spread the word!
Too pricy for me but though others may be intertested

Who is the highest authority here as far as helmet testing goes?

The lesser ones don't have shit, and any court is going to rule with the higher authority.

I'll wait till they hit the shops.
I have had a 50/50 hit/miss ratio with fund raising sites......mainly Kickstarter.
Quite often with technology based fund raising projects, the delivery time blows out by 1-2 years. And then there are some projects that just never get delivered.
Don't mean to be a downer, just sharing my first hand experience.

I think US$1500 which isnt too bad considering GPS intercom camera etc.
But more than I would be prepared to spend.
