Ducati Mega Monster Cruiser

This thread will put a cat amongst the pigeons and get some interesting opinions!
Too many accountants and not enough engineers!
http://www.asphaltandrubber.com/bike...ter-spy-shots/
If you look at the curve of the front header it appears to be tucking in to the RHS of the bike...... there's a V4 in there for sure. They're trying to recoup some of the tooling costs for the sedici. This will be to Ducati, what the Cayenne is to Porsche: an odd fit but done for a profit. Rear tail light treatment is ugly IMHO and obviously the handling is taking second stage with a rear tire like that. Pillion accommodation looks marginal..
Ducati have already positioned themselves as the Ferrari of bikes so WTF??, I don't think Ferrari would bastardize their brand with an SUV. Every time I see a Cayenne I still shake my head... but the $$$ are king!

I think its great. This is something they can turn a profit on that supports more racing and development. I think they are looking to grab a new customer to Ducati. Whether it works or not remains to be seen.

I always like it when companies try something different. Its companies like Honda (way to reserved in the US market right now) that piss me off. Bring over the CB1000R and I would buy one today.

It's not, Ducati PR purposely leaks these photos to stir up the rumor mill and I have first hand info that yes they will present their latest and newest bike in Milan at the end of the year.

A lot of Ducati riders think your Streetfighter is stupid and ugly.

A lot of Ducati riders think my Hypermotard is stupid and ugly.

I think ST's are stupid and ugly.

Everyone has different tastes, and I applaud Ducati for trying to think of different ideas. Variety is the spice of life, right?

Besides, why does everyone always get in such a tizzy whenever they show pictures of test mules that look nothing like the final form of the bike? Half the people who are criticizing this bike based on these "spy" photos will fall in love with it when they see it in person on the showroom floor.

Happens EVERY single time Ducati produces a new bike. The only thing we can be sure of at this point is that the Sport Touring guys will hate it, no matter what it looks like...
