First Service Monster821

I'm gearing up for my first service on the 821 Monster, and curious what oil you guys recommended?
Cost isn't really an issue here, as I'm looking to take care of this bike as much as possible. I'm planning on ordering my lubes/filter through my work tomorrow and throwing the service down on Sunday after my ride.
Anyone have any good tips or recommendations on how it's done?
The salesman recommended I don't come in to pay the full price for service, but they're more than willing to turn the light off for me and give me receipts just in case I need maintenance work down the road with Ducati approval.

821 Oil

I would take a look at Mobil1 10w-40 (Racing 4T) as an alternative to the Shell Ultra4.

I've used the Mobil 1 as mentioned above. It's a great alternative. I've ended up using Motul 300V for the past few changes and I think I like it just a bit better.

I prefer the Motul 300V oil over everything else. Ran it in my racebike for over 2 season and have handled no trouble at all.

You also want to check the second filter as well for metal shavings, which you will have if this the first service

Why? I'm just curious what you experienced to make you like one oil over another?

Silkolene. It's red and reminds me of raspberry jam. Mmm.
