I got the 24k service done on my2012 Multistrada. I told the mechanic I was going on a cross USA/Canada (West to East to West about 14k km) trip and asked what maintenance I should do along the way. He said to do a oil/filter change after 6k KM. The Operator manual says oil/filter change after 12k km. So I emailed Ducati Customer service in Italy for advice. They called back and told me to change the oil/filter once a year regardless of the distance done. Now I'm even more confused.

Clean oil is essential and cheap. That is all.
