Damn, into November already, it's past time to copy and paste again! If you've been you know how special this event is. If you're thinking about it - DO IT! The Blueridge Parkway, the Cherohala Skyway, the Tail of The Dragon, Route 28 - riding with frens makes these epic twisties even epic-er.
(You'll be even faster in the evening when you recount the day's adventures over beers (and whatever) in the parking lot.
See attached pic for room and cabin rates. We strongly encourage folks to PLEASE BOOK A ROOM IN THE LODGE rather than hiding in the far off cabins. It's more fun to drunkenly scrum in the bike filled parking lot.
Thanks and right back 'atcha Chuck. I need to get her to post an update: no news makes folks assume the worst! Still alive and kicking here so far. lol!
Glad you still around, seems you were the one who started KTM invasion of ECM and I thank you sir! (still searching for the perfect 950 which will likely be the new 790)
No way. I just gotta help you think about this. You’re not thinking logically. Anything you can do on that BWM you can do on a Multi. But, conversely, the BWM can’t come close to doing everything the Multi can do.
Ok, I have to admit the Multi is uglier but you don’t see it when you’re riding it.
I like this one. Must be my bike and not my inferior riding that results in me coming in last place...
2. If you are into old white men, BMW’s make a great conversation starter. I can’t tell you how many times an old white man has approached my BMW and started up a conversation (present company included). Conclusion: No need for grinder if you have a beemer! (After reading this, I can envision @Flynmon rapidly searching craigslist for a German warsled of his own - he needs something, or rather someone, to keep him warm in those cold VT winters)
Surely you'll get the matching whale foreskin riding suit to go with it, right? The flip up helmet? Cause the red and white Vansons are really gonna give you away.
Why cancha just get a KTM like the rest of the cool kids?
No way this is happening. The timing is too perfect. My neighbor down the street just brought me his rear wheel off his BNW to change his tire. 14,500 miles out of the PR4.
14,500 miles!!!!! I’d be embarrassed to admit my tires lasted that long. Especially a rear! How ghey is that!!

Of course one never needs to justify what makes one's heart go pitter patter. But.... 1. I think it looks cool as hell; 2. I'm keeping baby for the track; 3. 100+ ftlbs torque (sure, between equal riders a multi or superduke would pull away in a drag race but at my - dare I say most of our - level, it's like a 4lb sledge vs a 5lb sledgehammer for driving picture nails); 4. I already have a Shoei Neotec so :x.
And most importantly, 5. you cannot buy the same bike twice! Life is too short!
After a beemer, if I actually get one, a big IF but for the sake of discussion, I'd obviously have to get a KTM before cycling back to Ducati.>
I think yes. May have been friends of friends. Smugmug has just cut me off for CC expiration. I'll try and remedy.
