Stayed with Primmum when we bought the Ducati. We have 3 bikes with them and their rates were very good. ( in my opinion )
A lot of riders are leaving Quebec these days. With the legislation they're passing it'll be nearly immposible to register a sports bike. I was talking to a dealer in Montreal and he figured 25% of shops in the province will be closed down in the next 2 years.

I just received my renewal from Primmum and this year the ST is under $1000 for full coverage. I can't find a better deal anywhere. State farm was about $75 less but they wanted way too much for my house and car which are insured through Scottish and York and cost a total of about $1200 per year.

This might be a little stale but I'd go with Primmum. I could not find anyone that could beat their rates on multiple bikes. My only beef was the difficulty I had geting them to insure my 998 which I bought in the US. They insisted on a professional appraisal, photos and then would not process it until they received the original (no faxes). Once they got it they took almost three weeks to finally issue me with a policy. With the wait for the federal paperwork from the border plus Primmum it was almost five weeks before I could ride the bike I imported.

With Primmum I am just over $1000 on my 04 998 and was just quoted $881 with $1000 deductible, $1 million liability and specified perils on my new Honda ST1300. I still find these rates high for the amount of riding we do here in Ontario but there are not a lot of options. I was told that Duc

B.c. Insurance Rates

Just a note to any BC riders looking for outside collision etc other than ICBC. Every one I talked to that had a bike told me MEGSON was the best choice for coverage and price but my experience differs. My agent told me that she could get a better quote from BEACON and she was right. Over $100. year cheaper. So to all of you looking for private insurance in BC ,get your agent to get a quote from BEACON as well.Quote came faster ,also.
Have a safe riding season everyone. :)

In Toronto

I was insuring my 04 749 with Kingsway for $1600 liability only (remember, we're talking Toronto here). This year they hiked it to $1950 for the same coverage. On a whim, I tried PC insurance. I got the 749 for $780 and the monster 620 for $508, again just liability. That's a total of $1288 for both bikes. That's over $300 in savings with 2 bikes over my insuring my 1 bike last year. Forget about the increase to $1950. I highly reccomend that you shop around. Not to 2 or 3 but to a half dozen or more. It's all over the map up here.
