PAK BIKES LLC's FLEDA SYSTEM NG (Next Generation)

PAK BIKES LLC has acquired a NEW and IMPROVED flexible LED Array assembly for The FLEDA Systems.

This NEW LED assembly will become part of the FLEDA System NG (Next Generation).

The FLEDA-NG System is basically the same as the first generation FLEDA Systems, BUT these NEW flexible arrays have BOTH the amber and red LED emitters in one LED housing. See attached image showing a closeup of the emitters. You will notice two tiny holes in each emitter. One is the red and one is the amber. The first generation Flexible LED Array assemblies have either amber LEDs or red LEDs for a given section/emiter.

The "control system" for the FLEDA-NG Systems has been completely redisigned to accomodate the dual color LED emitters.

The first generation FLEDA Systems have 120 total LEDs per row.
The row is made up of 3 seperate flexible array sections.
40 amber left turn signal function.
40 red tail & brake light function.
40 amber right turn signal function.

The FLEDA System NG has a total of 100 LEDs per row.
The row is made up of 1 continuous flexible array section.
35 amber left turn signal function.
100 red for tail & brake light function.
35 amber left turn signal function.

There is one 30 red LED area in the center of the 100 LED flexible array in which ONLY the red LEDs are ever lit for tail and brake light functions.

There are two 35 amber LED areas on each side of the 100 LED flexible array that "share" the same individual LED housings with the red LEDs. When the turn signals are NOT operating then the red LEDs perform the tail and brake light functions in these areas. Example: Right turn signal operating = 70 red LEDs operating as the tail and brake light functions.

The three different "modes" for the FLEDA System NG:

1.) When the bike is operating without the turn signals ON (either right or left) and the brakes are NOT being applied then ALL 100 LEDs are ON at about 1/2 brightness for the "tail light" function. When the brakes are applied the all 100 LEDs are ON at FULL brightness for the "brake light" function.

2.) When the bike is operating (without the brakes applied) with either the right or left turn signals operating then the 35 amber LEDs come into play and operate at FULL brightness and the red LEDs that share that segment are disabled. The 30 red LEDs in the center section plus the 35 red LEDs in the section NOT operating as a turn signal will be on at 1/2 brightness.

3.) When the bike is operating (with the brakes applied) with either the right or left turn signals operating then the 35 amber LEDs come into play and operate at FULL brightness and the 35 red LEDs that share that segment are disabled. The 30 red LEDs in the center section plus the 35 red LEDs in the section NOT operating as a turn signal will be on at FULL brightness.

The FLEDA-NG Systems will come in the following configurations:

FLEDA-NG-SR (signal row system)
FLEDA-NG-DR (dual row system)

Pricing will be the same as the first generation FLEDA Systems.

The FLEDA-NG Systems will replace ALL the FLEDA first generation Systems.

Note: The animated gif is of a FLEDA-NG-DR (dual row) System

F L E D A - N G Free License Plate Bracket & Illuminated Frame

As of 09/24/08 any purchase of a FLEDA-NeX System will include a FREE license plate bracket and illuminated frame assembly. Your choice, either under the FLEDA System or "tucked" up by the battery.

PAK BIKES is no longer offering "dealer discounts" on the FLEDA product lineup. Also we have been able to trim some of our production costs. These two factors are now making it possible to offer the license plate bracket and illuminated frame assemblies for FREE.

Is anyone in Australia running the Fleda system?
.....and does it attract any unwanted attention from the constabulary?

I have sold about 6 FLEDA Systems to customers in Australia. The new FLEDA-NeX-DR system is really outstanding.

My customer Derek in Kambalda just received his special FLEDA-NeX-DR-IMOLA the other day and has fitted it up on his Sport 1000. The FLEDA-NeX-DR-IMOLA and the FLEDA-NeX-DR basically the same.

All of my Australian customers have gone with the license plate bracket with illuminator bar that attached at the back to the bottom of the FLEDA System. I think folks from the east side of the island got the illuminated frame since their plates are pretty close to the plates here in the States.

No reports of problems with their local constabulary....

Cheers,
Phil
