Question Siemens fueling check-in

Does anyone have any further information from the horse's mouth of the people working toward a functional map/device/whatever for the Siemens fuel injected models? The low RPM stumbling together with the gunshot-like popping on decel after installing the LV cat eliminator is starting to get kinda old

memjet is a quick fixfor your 796.not as good as a full race ecu but will help with fueling and get rid of your issues. come up to calabasas and ride mine and you can see.

Mike: I'll take your word for it. Where did you end up placing the unit on the bike? Did you get the extension cable as well?

i just finished re-flashing my ECU and getting the TPS reset at the local dealer (about 20 bucks and 10 minutes). For $500 i bought a protune and re-mapped the ECU to very similar (if not exact) mapping. I also installed a cat eliminator and some leo vince slips ons along with a TPO beast intake.

Initially the bike has a lot of decel popping, but after having the dealer adjust the bleeder screws and do a TPS reset, it ran much better! Very little pop on decel and it seems to be getting better as the ECU adjusts its parameters.

hank when you say bleeder screws-what are they? what do they control? air intake on idle? not trying to sound stupid but that term is meant for carbs

sorry, ha ha, definitely should have been specific on that one. The screws i am talking about are on the sides of the throttle bodies. They have a minor affect on idle speed but are mostly used to adjust the leanness or richness of the bike. Furthermore, they help with balancing the throttles.

do you think he means the DP ECU settings? as you cannot program the pro-tune yourself from what i am told? they (dealer) load a map that you ask them too, and app for the 2010 there are only 2 maps to pick from
