Ducati Performance Race Seat vs Lowered Comfort Seat.
So I borrowed a comfort seat over the weekend to try out and after riding it for about 3 hours straight I found the seat pretty comfortable and I dont have the sharp pain running up my lower back from the stock. I'm 5'11", 32" inseam, 195lbs, and no meat on my bum. But the funny thing is that the comfort seat has a problem. Because its lowered, my legs ends up being too bent and I have a hard time putting the ball of my foot on the pegs. I can only put my arches on the pegs comfortably. So my question is that I know the race seat isnt lowered, but does it allow a person with long legs to position the balls of their feet on the pegs comfortably? I can do this on the stock just fine, but I cant stand the pain the stock produces to my bony rear end. Also, is the comfort of the race seat even close to the comfort seat?

Let me tell you, after 3 hours on the original or the gel....i need a break.
My but kill me to the extreme, and I'm only 5'-7"
good luck

So it sounds like there's not much difference between the two.

My stock seat on the EVO was more firm (if not higher) than the race seat.

I found the race seat to be much firmer than the stock seat on my 2010 evo... I have also found that it's more comfortable and puts me in a better riding position.

I found the perfect solution, KTM SMT (SMR would work as well).
I picked up a set of DUCATI DESIGN adjustable pegs. These pegs helped a lot with leg ergos and provided additional room between the peg and shift lever, making it easier to get my foot under the shift lever.
Hyper seats, what a pain. Sargent users seemed quite pleased. There should be several threads on this topic.

Have you tried removing the rubber inserts from the foot pegs?
