HUMM!

Any bad feed back about Aluminium flywheel ?
I Have heard some bad things about them taking some loose
and making bid damage. I would like to find a stock steel that its been lightened.I would like to keep mine as spare if i don't like the feeling of the lighter one.

are you saying the stock 848 wheel is lighter than the hyper one?

copied from the ducshop--

For all 3 phase Ducati\'s, 1999 and up: From 5 lbs. to 1 lb. 12 ozs. 748,996/998/999/1000SS/ST4/1098/Hypermotard ect...the 848 and 1098R are already 2 lbs. 3ozs. so not as necessary.

from ducshop

QUOTE=Ducshop;767613]My quote:

"Here is a comparison of the 3 phaze flywheels:
Top left is on 1999 thru 2006's (748/999,ST4ect..)5 lbs.
Top right is 1098's, Hyper's ect.. 4 lbs.10 ozs.
Bottom right is on 848's and 1098R's 2 lbs. 3 ozs.
Bottom left is after we machine/bal. them 1 lb. 12ozs"

The Hypers get a lighter one than the older bikes.

IMO, I think they are using the 848 flywheel now because it is an easy way to lower the weight of the bike for advertising, is fewer part numbers to inventory and it doesn't cause a big change. [/QUOTE]

i also have one and going to install it right after thanksgiving,waiting on friends track day to be over and waiting on the deep impact 30mm socket
