Quarter twist throttle
Hiya folks!!
Long time lurker, first time poster,
Does anyone make a 1/4 twist throttle for the Hyper besides Ducati? Our desmo overlords want me to pay over $450.00 for theirs, and I can't see doing it.
Thanks in advance...

I put on the R1 throttle tube (part #4YR-26240-02) and it made a difference. The cost was only something like $12 and it took me all of 10 minutes to install.
I was forced to do something because when I went to change out the stock grips (hated them), I found that the grips were grooved to acept the ridges on the plastic throttle tube. Because of the ridges, a regular grip won't work without modification/replacement of the tube.
I came off of R1s so now the throttle twist feels just like home again.

A relatively inexpensive and extremely easy to install solution is the Electraeon Fast Throttle Cam, IF you're looking for linear throttle response with less contortionist turning of the wrist to WOT (75% to WOT). I had one on my Monster and may put one on my Hyper eventually.
Electraeon Fast Throttle Cam for Ducati motorcycles.

I have a G2 and it works well for low $ and you can get interchangeable cams to adjust the twist rate. The other one that everyone seems to like is the Dan Kyle version, but it is a lot more $.
Out!

spend the 10 bucks and get either a R6 (very short) or a R1 throttle tube.
I'll be installing the R6 tube this week.
Dave, what grips did you get with? I miss getting renthal's for free when I raced...

I got the Pro Grip model #719 (I think).
FYI, I believe the R6 and the R1 tubes are the same. Either way it's much improved.
