Hyupermotard Quick Hard Start Fix

Bought two 4MM battery and ground cables at Pep Boys Auto Center. One measures 49" the other 36" . Total cost under $15! Quess what, my bike now starts in under 5 seconds! Go figure ?! Lee LI

let's hear the rest of the install. I have my bike down the rolling chassis + motor right now, but I don't know exactly the gorund you are talking of.

Are you sure???

Battery and Ground cables are usually not that long.

You say that one is 49", that's over four feet long, and the other one is 36", that's three feet long. Unless you are tying your bike up with these, I can't see them being so long.

Please elaborate, I'm interested.

Maybe he changed out his seat for batteries
With 4 foot long batteries I hope it starts in less than 5 seconds

Hypermotard Hard Start Help

I guess nobody takes thier seat off! Trace the cables from your battery (after the starter relay) to the engine cases and starter. You will see they are 36" & 49" long! The wire is thinner than a pencil in diameter. The new Pep Boys Auto cables are twice as thick. Lee

There is nothing wrong with the present setup, I have never had starting problems or weak batteries and I dont use a battery tender
These guys just like to spend money
