Loud horn bolt on
The OEM horn sucks (well - it makes noise) but I can hardly hear it with helmet on... I did some google-ing to find what would be the most easy and seamless install.
I found "Blazer Horn Highway Blaster, 132db". I just swaped it right out, so easy, took less than ten minutes
Only tools needed are a basic socket and wrench set (8 and 13 mm if i remember correctly. No relay, button, no hassle of hardwiring to battery and most importanly, all OEM hardware can be used.
So simple, took ~ ten minutes.
fits perfect, and is super loud.
The p/n is BH103FBH and it is sold at Autozone. Luckily it was in stock at my local store. PM me or just request if any one would like to see pictures.

I was surprised to see how small of a gauge the stock horn wire is. I put an airhorn on my bike and I feel much safer with a horn that can be heard.

If you like a lower tone, just get part number BH103FBL.

There is a screw (outlined in red). In the instructions, it says "Do Not Touch This Screw"
The screwing it in/out changes the tone - all the way in - it is low pitch -- and out a higher pitch

I just got back from the SEMA show in Vegas and at the very end of the show many exhibitors cheap sell some of their goods. I picked up two sets of horns, one with a tone switch for $3 each. I opened one and it was a direct replacement for the horn on my Buell while the other I installed on my 999R. I think I'm going to remove the Buell horn and match it with the one I put on the Duc because they are supposed to be mounted in pairs. I believe theres enough room, I'll just have to splice in a couple wires. The horns are the same shape with the same connector location as the one pictured above.
