Dismounting the Hyper´s footpeg bracket

Hello to all,

maybe, one of you guys can help. I want to change the footpeg system on my Hypermotard. As far as I got it, the bracket is mounted to the engine by two bolts. But what about the hex screw? Do I have to unfasten it, too?

Thanks for your advice!

Marc

Hi Marc,

Yes you have to undo the Special screw (hex srcew) you will need a 24mm socket, its not very tight only 30Nm

Make sure the bike is on a rear stand since one of those bolt holds the side stand. Some guys have been squashed by their bikes as the side stand pivots when the bolt is pulled.

Careful on reinstalling the big aluminum bolts back in. I snapped one of mine because I wasn't paying attention, they really are weak sauce!
