That, IMHO, is one fugly motorcycle. But I'm sure the poser crowd will love it. I'd rather ride than have this thing sitting around on it's side stand.

If I can ever afford it, I'm adding one to my stable!

The BEST thing about the Diavel is that it gives the "Ducatisti" a frikkin' coronary! I love it!

I would disagree. Around my area, this biggest Ducati poseurs by far are on sbks, bikes with high dollar aftermarket exhausts/rearsets/etc nicely waxed with huge chicken strips sitting at starbucks. They will never see track duty or even aggressive canyon carving, no lie, it is stupid. Amazing what I see aroung the forums too, so many bashing the style of the bike and very little talk of how it will dominate the class for performance. Most seem to care about one thing, the look and style, and how it will "tarnish" the brand. The Diavel is not for me, but in many ways it is hardly a poser bike...it is designed for the street, has the ergonomics and "point and shoot" power that will allow it to hand the real posers their ass.

I think the bike is good looking, and a cool concept from ducati....but thats about it... I ride my ducati's for their unbeatable performance on the back roads and on the track. My 796 hyper is the best bike i have ever owned as a non track bike so i would never consider getting rid of it.... To me the Diavel seems like an oversized, heavier monster with a little more comfortable seating.... cool for some people, not for me.

We Hyper owners had to go through the same damn thing (as did MS owners, SF owners, etc.) with people yelling, "Hey! That's not a REAL motard! It's for posers who want to look like they ride Supermoto!"

No, the Hyper is for people who like how it looks, and enjoy riding it. Just like the Multistrada, the Streetfighter... and the Diavel.

It seems to me there are bikes out there for EVERYONE. If you can't find something you like among the myriad of different brands, models, and types, I really feel sorry for you. And if you DO have a bike you like, why do you have to get so angry about the ones you don't?

Couldn't of said it any better. I hope they sell well for Ducati. Can't wait for the Cycle World or Sport Rider review on it. It definitely is not my favorite Ducati but for the niche it's in it looks cool. If you compare it to the Vmax or Vrod I say this bike wins hands down and I would put money on it out performing them by a mile.

I agree 100%. Like i said, not for me.... but i dont hate it or the fact that ducati came out with it. I see a lot of riders that have ducatis for the track and a harley for the street..... now maybe they will just have 2 ducatis.
