Smile Painting hyper during the off-season

So when I pack up the hyper for winter storage in the next few weeks im going to take all the plastics off for painting. Still thinking up some ideas but I know I love the white on red frame look. I know some feel red is the only color a Duc should be painted but I disagree Im thinking of a white/red/black color scheme with a metallic or pearl effect.

I want to do the nose/tail piece the same as EVO SP. I went to the dealer and found all the decals for nose/tail are available from Ducati. I think the prices were something like.... $39.95 for black headlight outline, $35.95 for red nose stripes, $10 for ducati decal, so that's $75 just for decals for the nose! Very overpriced for stickers but whatever... Im debating how to paint the shrouds mostly. Both these would be with carbon tank cover as well...

Found this shroud paint job searching through various forums and liked how it looked, I believe this was on a french hyper. Photoshopped how this would look with my exhaust/clutch cover. Also debating painting the subframe black as well. Just not sure If I feel like taking it off...

Could do EVO SP paint scheme - with alittle customization of using metallic/pearl paint.

As she sits now....

And 5 minute evo sp photoshop....

Looking for ideas people!

My vote goes to "other".

I always secretly dreamed of a Matrix Hypermotard, like Blackie did on his StreetFighter.
Matrix green over mat bronze frame, black subframe and white wheels.
It was my initial plan before Guido sold me his Baylissed carbon parts.

I bought the White HM 1100 Evo SP about 5 weeks ago. Though the white paint job looked stunning with it's decals, I wanted to make this toy more dark/black like all my other toys. I've always been a big fan of the new Cyber Gray Metallic color that all the new Chevy Camaro's and Corvettes are shipping in. So I took the plastics off my Hyper and dropped the pieces off at my body shop. Turnaround was almost 5 days. During this 5 day period, I still drove it with no body work on it. To be honest, I loved the way the tank felt without the L/R shrouds.. But I was even more impressed when I fitted the newly painted panels back on the bike. Now the bike looks great. Though the red frame really pops with the cyber gray metallic panels, I think I'm going to wait until the bitter cold winter to powder coat the frame and subframe gloss black. Who knows... I'm kinda split on that decision. Time will tell.

Anyone know where I can order a set of decals online?

Here is a few before/after photos....

i like your bike Hagen... it helps me visualize what the next iteration of my hyper will look like. I'm planning on taking off the xerox livery temporarily and going for a carbon hyper but with flat black paint over many of the parts, with shiny carbon showing through and red pinstriping separating the black paint and the carbon.

I need me some photoshop skillz.
