Breaking plastics?

Hey guys, I know, I've been a stranger lately!

Still enjoying my hyper; but having an issue with the left side shroud/fairing.

The lower tab broke, no, I didn't go down or have it hit anything. I've heard of this happening before, does an aftermarket company make a set that are a bit softer?

I got out the ole plastic welder and had at it, then used some epoxy to reinforce it.

carbon ones seem to hold up if you go that route...

My right rear tailside fairing piece cracked where the strap to my tailbag was on it. I guess I can spend the money now to get some carbon fiber pieces. But I was a little shocked how easy it broke though.

I'm not buying carbon...I actually don't like the look.

after the weld/epoxy job, I'm going to install rubber grommets and locktite the screws in, but not torque them down.
