Surging issue

Hey Fellow Ducatist’s…

Hopefully all you folks are getting some mileage today!!! I did and will again in a bit. I’m new to the fo and only had a few posts thus far but read everyday, pretty much. I have a little over a month old 2011 1100 HYM base evo black that just hit 800 miles. She is as fun as I could have ever imagined and have been really starting to open her up (within range of the break-in instructions). Fly’s like a bat of hell for me…

I know there has been a lot of chatter and I’ve even chimed in on the hippy shake or bucking bronco or whateva you want to call the 2000-4000 rpm shimmy shakes. Last week I had my first factor service since it is under warranty. Anyways, I was having the same issue as a lot of people about the bucking it can have at that low rpm. My hope was it would break in and the ecu/computer or “Frankenstein” would learn to regulate the mix going in. It seems this hope has been becoming to fruition and it is starting to really smooth out. I have done nothing but babied the break in advice. For those with newer bikes and have questions about this too I would highly recommend to just treat it like a new girlfriend…it seems to me the hippy-shake is leaving!!!

Greetings to all and hopefully I can meet some of you fellow motard Barbarian’s on the fo!

Cheers!

when i was running my heper in one of the lads on this forum told me to put in a high gear and wind her out until about 6000 revs and then shut her off and let her slow down on the engine braking serveral times. I did this and whenever i went for the first service the dealer told me that whenever he put her on the computer everything was perfect.
