Need advice on handguard issue
I searched but could not find the answer...
I am having an issue with my left handguard, it is loose and I do not know how to fix it. It is stable under normal riding, but if I come down from a wheelie it slips and rotates downward. The rotation usually lowers it about 1-1.5" and messes up the mirror position. I have tightened the end-bar allen screw, enough to where if I tighten anymore I think it will snap but handguard is still not stable like the right (throttle-side) one. Something is wrong and I just do not have the experience to know how to fix it. Any advice appreciated, thanks.

Thanks, I bet they are too. I guess we just have to live with it? Sure is annoying.

Mine sort of wiggle a bit as well... I'm contemplating ditching the oem guards/signals/mirrors as they are really there just for show. The first tip-over and crunch.
After selling the oem's I'll likely end up with the Zeta setup that includes the LED signals in the wind deflector, but also has a true aluminum guard built in that will actually be durable.
a carbon version is also available
Might just use aprilia or streetfighter mirrors.

Mine wiggle too and it makes the mirrors useless. Do those Zetas or regular MX hand guards work with our bars?

It could also be the handguard clamp on the bars, carefully nip up thoes bolts and see if they are the prob, very carefully though, they are weak and will crack if overtightened.
You can't go wrong by getting thoes Zeta guards.

stock handguards and mirrors are not wheelie proof...they become a hassel after awhile...zeta is a good option or just ditch em and go w/o them and get some aftermarket mirrors and relocate turn signals.
