Hyper 796 ; race ECU with stock cans?

I'm STILL torn about what to do with exhaust. I'm now reconsidering going to the full race setup which loses the O2 sensors completely. However, I still like the stock cans. (Plus $2200 is a bit steep for the full race setup.)

Assuming that I could get the Race ECU a-la-carte (and drop in an Arrow cat-elim manifold), can I use the Race ECU with the stock cans? Maybe I'd have to cut the hole in the airbox? Or would I be totally off the map here in terms of tuning/fueling, and left standing in my garage holding my choad in my hand? (Well, I do that sometimes, but that's a different story. Hahhh)

I couldn't decide on an exhaust so I currently have race ECU, Velocity stacks, PCIII, removed flapper valve, cat and stock cans.

Runs unreal, the PCIII is mapped to suit the stock cans. Its heaps louder with the ram filters now.

I have an akra pipe and am getting a custom set of headers made to suit but i'm in no rush as the current setup works really well.
