Aluminium triples

I just mounted on my Hyper a prototype of triple clamps CNC machined from a solid piece of aluminium 6082:

I really like the way they look and the fact that they're coordinated with my rearset:

As you can see from the pictures, these triple clamps feature five 5 clamping bolts per leg on the lowers, and 1 on the uppers.

Rake and trail are same as stock. Top clamps are 16 mm higher than stock.

Since these are a prototype, I made a couple of cosmetic suggestions for the production parts ;-)

So what's the benefit? Or is it a bling factor?

It's a little bit of both. It's lighter than stock but at the same time more rigid, since the bottom triples are taller than stock.

Francesco,

Does the bike handle better on the corners?

You said that the stock triples weigh 2.8kg which is 6.17lbs and the billet ones weigh 2.250kg or 4.90lbs which make it lighter by 1.27lbs, so I guess that would make it more of a "bling" factor, looks good though. Aloha Alex
