Need OEM left peg & shifter
Hi, had a spill today (combination new tire and cold tire and pavement), I was very blessed to be ok. And the bike did ok to.
I need a left foot peg , gear shifter lever and a left rear blinker lens, all oem parts.
I was hoping with all the upgraded hypers someone might have some of these parts laying around that they might be interested in selling at a reasonable price....
Please PM me if you can help me out... Thanks

Gary,
Glad you are ok. I haven't started replacing parts on mine yet. Did you have your spare fuel cell mounted? It do ok?

Yes I had just put it back on the night before. This is a copy of an e-mail I sent phil>
Hi, had a spill today on my Ducati. I am fine, a small bump on my left knee. The bike did really good also. I was able to salvage the left front fairing ( cement the tabs on back side , no scratches on the outside ).
The left hand guard , left front foot peg , rear left foot peg assembly and left rear fairing took the brunt of the damage. I was able to polish the rear peg assembly to look good and I had a set of carbon rear fairing sitting in a box waiting to be put on. I was able to make everything work and still get about 60 miles in later in the day.
I already got a new hand guard and a new Termignoni exhaust sticker on it's way. I'm down to a shifter and a foot peg needed.
Even my gear did good, my jeans are junk ( lucky thing I hade long underwear on under the jeans ) and I have small scrap on my right boot and my phone case got scrapped also ( it was in my right front pocket ) but my gloves and my Joe Rocket jacket did not get a scratch.
OK how did I go down ???? I was leaving my house this morning around 7:00 am to meet up at a Ducati dealer about 35 miles away to go on a ride to the motorcycle museum in Springfield, Ma..
Well I made it about 1 mile and I must of been going XX mph around a very slight bend, changing gears and and all of a sudden the rear end was sideways and I low sided. No cars around and I was just hoping not to slide in to the curve stone..
My excuse is I had just put on that rear tire and only put on around 5 miles on it a few days ago , but in those 5 miles I did try to scuff it up ( not enough ) and I don't think a cold tire and cold pavement helped ( outside temp was around 40 degrees). BUT I should of taken all these factors in to consideration. I am pleased with the way I handled it ( easier when your not to hurt ).....

Wow, 40* already there. Man, I don't miss Connecticut. Did you consider the morning dew turning to black ice??
It sounds more like something on the road vs. a cold tire due to how fast you explained that it went down.
Just a thought, glad you are OK.

Dave,
Gary came down to Deals Gap this past May. I had the fortune of "trying" to keep up with him on the short run from the hotel to the Dragon. He is quite the spirited rider. We left the hotel after everyone had already left to meet at the Dragon, so it was Ketchup Time. In hindsight, that ride just to the entrance of the Dragon was one of the fun runs that weekend.

Hey Bill,
I wasn't implying that he couldn't ride, it just sounded like there was another force in play based what he posted.
Now that you confirmed his ability to tear up the twisties tends to confirm my theory even more as he probably has the skills to deal with a bit of tire slide.
On second thought: By any chance, are you running Michelins?

Hi, giving it more thought I'm the reason I went down..... I think it has to do with me not breaking in the new tire better, because this slide happen when I was shifting between 3 and 4th gear and for it to go sideways that fast at that speed ?? , even a cold tire on cold pavement wouldn't go out like that..
So my bad....BTW stock front B014 and a new B016
I was hoping this thread would result in somebody parting with some unwanted left foot peg and a shifter lever ?????????? anybody got one ??????
