Which front stand?
My searching skills must suck...
Will a regular front stand allow me to remove the front wheel (with access to all the pinch bolts)...

...or do I need to get a triple-tree stand?
Thanks, guys.

I have the pitbull one and have three different pins to fit the Hyper, CBR, & the Supersport.

Triple-tree is more stable (I have Pitbull) and lets you also remove forks but to answer your actual question, you can remove the wheel with a regular front "fork" stand like the one pictured.
On a related note, you can use a triple-tree front stand on the Hyper without having to remove the beak (IIRC someone said thy had to remove beak)

What you say is true. That being said, it makes so much more sense to get the triple tree stand rather than the fork stand as it will let you remove the forks as well.
+1 on the Pitbull. The front stand is one place where you should not skimp on quality. Get the pitbull and it will last you the life of your motorcylcing life, even if you are in your 20s.

A lot of people just jack the bike up with a car jack and 2 x 4 's under the engine with it on the rear stand. Cheap and effective.

The Hyper does not have any part on the engine bottom that is flat enough to be trusted to use that method IMO.
That being said, I have a bike jack that I use on the KLX all the time.

I've used T-rex and I also own a pitbull triple front stand. The pitbull is nice because I have pins for suzukis, my R6, and the hyper. You can keep the stand for whatever bike you buy down the road.
