2010+ FI remap question

Since 2010 and newer Hyper 1100's have the Siemens FI/Ecu system, is there any proven way to remap the ecu for optimum performance w/o buying a full exhaust/ecu combo??

My dealer says the Hypers tend not to play well with power commanders, but I've having a hard time searching and finding consistent answers with respect to the 2010 and newer models.

Ideally I'd like to just get the leo vinci cat delete, upgrade the airbox lid and filter, get it mapped and call it a day. Any suggestions on the best way to go about the mapping part? Mine is a 2011 1100 evo...

Just rode a couple hundred miles in the rain yesterday... nice way to break in the duc eh? lol

Looks a bit lean based on the pipe color w/only 300 miles on the odo..

Is my dealer wrong?? Does anyone with a 2010 or '11 1100 have a power commander?

Darren;
Those are exactly the same mods I want to do on my 2010 1100. Desmoworks is making progress on mapping the Siemens ECU. I expect that he will jump in here soon and comment.

me 3 or i may just buy the headers that come with the DP ecu..seeing our dollar is so strong...as its around $1300 for the ecu (alone) or $1430 for the headers and ecu..go figure

Do they sell the Hyper EVO Termi ECU

Cant wait to do this myself. I wonder if running cored stock exhausts with or without the CAT would run good with the remapped ECU?

thanks all for the replies so far. Looks like I'll keep my eyes open for a desmoworks update.

Darren - Most ducs do not play well with pc's. The reason is the euro exhaust standards. Your best bet would be to go with a replacement ecu or re-mapped ecu. The bad thing is both of those are as or almots as expensive as the DP systems.

On my 09 I purchased the cams and they came with an ecu. It was a little more expensive because the cam install was 5 hours labor. It did give me exhaust options and a few more hp. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the input.

I can't help but laugh at the fact that I find myself longing for the 'simplicity' of a carburetor
