Immobilizer help (Scotts install)

Well,

I was installing my new Scott's steering dampner and busted the immobilizer antenna getting it out of the original housing. This puppy was gorrilla glued in there or something! Anyway, this piece is confusing me. All of the reading I have done on here has to do with the "red key" which we do not have and reprograming.
My question is: If I purchase a new antenna part# 51840042b, will I be able to just plug it in and not have to go through the dealer for any type of key and ECU reprogramming?
For the record I am able to start the bike with the bypass instructions using the code key card.

Thanks.

Same exact thing happened on Mi install. Broke the ring trying to pry it out. Bought a new one for $54 I believe it was. It was plug and play, nothing tricky.

LOL, yea. I was trying to get my post count up so I could post in the classifieds. It says I needed 25+ but it still doesn't work for me.

May be lightly glued in

According to the Scott's install instructions. I just went through this fight for a good two hours. Involved a dremel knife screwdriver feeler gauges acetone and a lot of cursing. If I had know u could just buy another antenna I would've thrown it out the damn window. That glue was ridiculous but somehow I got it out and it still works.

may i suggest using a hairdryer on the highest setting first before trying a heat gun. you may end up melting that plastic up.

Hair dryer is a nice idea. If I ever have the unfortunate task again that will be what i try. On another note I put about 100 miles on the damper and its a must have accessory in my opinion.
