Nose Job
Just got my bike back from a serious beak surgery. Very happy with the results so figured I'd share.
Surgery Parts:
LSL Urban headlight - Color matched Ducati red and fabricated bracket extension.
Oberon Bar-end mirrors.
Magical Racing CF handguards - Ground down to better match the profile of the original guards.
Fabricated instrument relocation brackets.

You can see a few more pics here: Sep 29, 2010 - a set on Flickr
Kinda' think it should have rolled out the factory more like this!
Big thanks to Daric and Jeff of Cheshire Motorsports for some great work on this project!

Damn nice job!!! I toyed with the idea of cutting down, replacing etc. etc. the beak when I first got the Hyper but then decided it's kinda what makes it a Hyper. Not saying that the trimmed down look isn't a great idea, just torn between the SM (HM) look and the non SM look. Nicely executed on your bike. Whatcha gonna do for a front fender??????? I talked to several folks and apparently there are no exact bolt on fenders out there, the Streetfighter is close but no cigar!

Thanks Steve... totally agree with you on the beak making a Hyper what it is. Now, it looks like a Streetfighter got frisky with a Monster and this is their offspring... Which isn't a bad thing in my book! My plan is to leave the fender as it is, mainly as it looks badass like that and I virtually never ride in the rain (my car is my rain bike). The small existing fender keeps stones off the radiator and engine and I've only seen stuff get thrown forward so far and not anywhere near me or the light. We did figure out how to make a 1098 fender fit, but not gonna bother.

Congratulations, your Hyper now looks like a 2011 Aprilia Shiver.

Nice work, but I like the beak that way it is. I think it is designed to help divert air away from the rider aerodynamically, though I could be wrong. I have had an Evo SP up to 90 MPH and the windblast was far less than I thought it would be. I also rode a KTM superduke and at just 70 mph the windblast was stronger than on the Hyper at 90 mph. So I think the beak is for more than just looks.

Ha - check that out - you parked that right next to mine today in the parking lot, didn't you? Too funny.
When I was walking up I was like...what is that next to my bike, a monster? Then I was like...no...it's a hypster monstard.
Very nicely done...I did spend a few minutes admiring. It looks much smaller than a stock hm - did you lower it?
PM me if you ever want to hook up for a ride. There's another guy who works with us who I just started riding w/ who's got some insane ducatis.

that light is cool as sh..it!but i would also do the desmo tail w/short low exhaust if your going for that cafe look...or have a bill fabbed up that is more straight and not so diving down.that would also clean up the front where the triple is exposed.you can prolly play around w/some cardboard cutouts taped together to see what you come up with..goodluck love the light.oh by the way dreti on your magical handguards do you have to use your stock parts as well?...i still have my signals but sold the rest..was thinking bout putn handguards back on..jus wondering.

Nice.
Thst thing would look really clean with all the silver stuff (triples, pass pegs, top clamp, sub frame, etc.) powdercoated black. Only costs like $300.
