Sell "as is" or back to stock?
Hoping you guys can help me out here. I've got an 08 1100S that I'm having a very hard time selling. It's got the standard clutch beautifucation, the comfort seat, and full system with the Termi dual cans and DP ECU. Will I have better luck putting it back to stock, dropping the price, and selling the aftermarket stuff seperately or should I just hold out for someone to get in the mood to buy it as is?
I don't desperately need it gone but it's been sitting in my garage, unridden, for the past couple of months...

In my limited experience, it's easier to sell a shitty bike for cheap rather than a pristine ride for 500$ more. Don't ask how I know.
Part it out and drop the price if you want it gone.
...
How much are you asking with all the goodies? Is it on ebay or ducati.ms?

I've got it listed on a bunch of other forums (WERA, ducati-superbikes, and DCsportbikes) but haven't hit the requirements to post a classified here yet.
And I was trying to get $10.5 for everything including the stock stuff and a T-Rex stand. Just had the 7500 mile service done at DucPond and haven't ridden it since I left Vegas in May.

Unfortunately, a realistic price for your setup would be around $8k +/- these days

What Tarna said - can't see getting anywhere near 10.5 for it. Or for that matter 2.5k for the parts when you drop it to 8 where it might actually sell. They're just not worth that much when you can get brand new for not much more.

Yeah, you'll do better going back to stock - nobody pays anything extra for aftermarket parts on the bike. However, someone w/ a stock bike like me might pay you for the termi and ecu...and then you sell your bike at a lower price.
I just bought my brand new 08 (way leftover) hm for 9400 w/ a 2 year warranty - nobody's gonna buy a used hm for 10.5.

I've sold plenty of stuff with after market parts and came out OK. Your bike is worth book value and about 50% of whatever aftermarket goods you have. You might not get it today, but there is a buyer for everything and sooner or later you will get someone after a bike that is already set up with some goods. Contrary to popular belief not everyone's broke.
If you ain't in a hurry, list it and ride it out! You may need to wait until late winter early spring now that the season is winding down.
Out!
