proper oil change for the hyper 796 question

this is not my first bike and the owners manual sucks and doesnt tell you how to do anything. i wanted to know if this bike has any filter bags under a bolt like my husky supermoto did and if it has multiple bolts you need to remove to properly drain all the oil. or is it just the filter and one bolt type of job.
so can a 796 owner tell if how many places i need to drain the oil from on this new model? thanks guys!

IF that motor is the same set up as the 1100, you have a drain bolt on the bottom (hex), and on the brake side you have another cap that covers the filter screen. The filter screen is sunk in where that big hex can reach it. Check the screen for any metal. Use good hex tools so you don't bugger up the small drain screw on the bottom of the engine and torque them to spec. Again, if that motor is set up the same as the 1100.

A 796 owner here w/ one DIY oil change ... Yes same as 1100 ,,,, oil drain plug on the bottom only drains oil, with a copper washer .... The side plug contains the recessed oil screen. I did not mess with the screen on my first change.. you have to remove the header .... maybe on my 3rd change ....

The Mods should jump for joy ... NO oil of choice talk/poll/discuss/debate/flaming.
