well went for a good ride on saturday in the twisties purdy hard...and comes to my attention i lost about 14 teeth on my rear sprocket.its a mpl hard annodized 520 w/about 7k tops on it....my 07 1098 had a 520 conv q/c and was still looking good at 10k w/lots of track days.my 08 1098 s has one also and its currently at 5k w/520 conv.could it be that i didnt put a slipper clutch on the hyper??and also by the way..i take extra good care of my babies especially the drive system.need some ideas on whats going on here...maybe it was just the brand?all other conversions were other brands...like afam and driven...
Sounds to me like they didn't harden it properly. I would send it in to them (or an authorized distributor) and have them test the hardness. If it comes in soft, I bet you get a new one free.

axe..have you ever dealt w/them before..i think i remember you having some mpl tuning parts on your hyper?anyways i think we are getn alittle break in the weather so i didnt waste any time and ordered a new carrier and sprocket from driven.but i will try to contact them and see if they will replace it..i could at least use it on another bike or sell to someone w/the carrier.the place i was getn the mpl stuff from no longer carries them anymore and went another direction w/company he only had 525 left over but i guess i could grab one of those it should fit carrier.
Yeah I have an MPL clutch slave and clutch basket cover and springs/caps. I never dealt with them directly, I think they are a Euro company. I got all my stuff from MotoRage.
