Which exhaust on a Hypermotard
Wondering wich exhaust suits best for a Hypermotard.
1st - Termignioni - expensive but beautifull
2d - Sil
3d - Zard
4th - Akrapovic
5th - LeoVince
6th - Arrow
Does anyone have experience with on of these, the best option will be Termi but they are so expensive and heard that SIL are less expensive and they gives more power. I even heard that termignioni could break when taking corners.

Akrapovic doesn't make a system for the Hyper.
I have the Leo Vince slip-ons and cat eliminator. I went with them based on price and I'm glad I did. Over the past 3 years I've read stories about the crappy build quality of the Termi systems... Zard and Miiv systems falling apart and more. I don't remember anything negative about Sil.
I have no complaints about the quality of the Leos. The only thing I'd complain about is the ugly cross pipe that can sometimes interfere with a rear hugger. The build quality is very impressive.
I left the quiet inserts in mine so I can't really compare the power output compared to some of the other systems. My second choice was the Zard Penta.

I wish Akra made them xD Gotta love em'...
What about SC-project... Decent quality?
What if you just do cat eliminator and keep original slip ons? Better noise? Better performance? Or better of putting some extra cash in some slip-ons?
Do you need ECU mapping when you only change cat en not slip-ons or doesn't that have anything to do with it... I never quite got that ecu-****...
Btw. Talking about Hypermotard 796...
Sorry for topic steal...

The SC Project systems look great and by all the accounts I've read here theta sound great and produce good power. I did my own "cheap bastid" exhaust with a Yoshi CF can. Looks good (ok so I'm biased) and sounds pretty good too

Zard Penta system looks good. But a guy from some exhaust shop told me that SIL are better then Termignioni's. Cheaper and give more power. And they sell all exhausts even the termi's.

I went the cheap route with leo vince. I got a set on ebay that was scratched on one side and just swapped it to the other side and now you can't even see the scratches.

Not another damn exhaust thread! Use the search function Eddy.
Everyones biased, period.
Yes you should get rid of the cat'.
Yes you should open the air intake to make it worth while.
Yes you will need remapping.
Yes you will need TPS adjustment.
Yes it will be louder.
Sheeesh.
Get the Zard Penta cans and headers, DP air box and ECU.
Fit it yourself, and take it to your stealer to get the TPS done.
But I'm biased!

I have the full Arrow exhaust from desmoworks. Looks great, sounds great, and the install was pretty straight forward. I liked the look of the dual exhaust that is why I went that route. In additon I wanted to remove the cat and to with an open loop system for the cams ecu. No issues and I would not change a thing. In addition I have the Ducshop stacks to open the air flow.
